I don’t think that the author (Sara Shepard) chose this quote only because it had the word wicked in it, this quote was probably also a heads up before starting the book. I see into this quote as telling us that those who are wicked blends in with everyone else. because the sun shines on everyone equally, we end up not seeing the wicked, like finding a needle out of a haystack. This quote actually works not only for this book but for the whole series as well. The author has been able to make the books so unpredictable and makes everyone seem either really innocent or evil that when it was revealed that it was Mona who was A, I was honestly really shocked and had no clue it was coming. (also just a little something in mentality for while reading Wicked, “nothing’s as it seems”
